Experiencing the unpleasant syptoms of menopause? Noni Juice for Women is for you. This is the same Certified Organic Tahitian Noni Juice but fortified with herbs, vitamins and minerals to reduce the unpleasant symptoms that many women experience during menopause.

Ingredients:

Pomegranate juice is packed with powerful antioxidants, polyphenols. These phytochemicals act as potent free radical scavengers within your body. As well as helping relieve the symptoms of menopause these antioxidants can help maintain a healthy heart and circulation.

Free radicals if left uncontrolled can speed up the oxidation of LDL ("bad cholesterol") which leads to the build up of plaque in the arteries. This excess of plaque, known as atherosclerosis, is a leading factor in heart attacks and strokes. Free radicals also accelerate the ageing process.

Soy Isoflavones

Isoflavones are oestrogen-like plant hormones. They are a group of phyto-nutrients which occur in their highest concentration in Soya Bean and Red Clover. Substantial evidence supports the effectiveness of Soy constituents for reducing menopausal hot flushes.

Phyto-oestrogens have a similar structure to human oestrogen, but are less active (500 to 1000 times weaker than human oestrogen). They have the invaluable ability to help both when the body has produced too much oestrogen and when it is producing too little.

When the body produces too much oestrogen the phtyo-oestrogens compete with the body's own stronger oestrogen at oestrogen receptor sites. This reduces the overall oestrogen stimulation a cell receives.

When the body produces too little oestrogen, as it does during and after menopause, the phyto-oestrogens provide a useful additional hormonal boost. They act as a natural form of HRT.

In cultures such as Japan where Soy is a dietary staple, daily intakes of isoflavones are between 50 and 100mg. In the West this drops to just 2 to 5mg a day. Less than 25% of menopausal Japanese women experience hot flushes, compared to 85% of North American women.

Isoflavones are the most widely researched phytoestrogens. They have the added benefits that they help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, reduce the levels of harmful cholesterol in the blood and protect against spinal osteoporosis.

Isoflavones and Breast Cancer

The breast cancer rate in Western countries is many times that in Japan. A consistent dietary difference between the two cultures is the amount of soy-based foods consumed. The blood phytoestrogen levels are as much as 100 times higher in Japan as typically found in the West, and do not appear to have any long-term ill-effects.

Hormones such as oestrogen play an important part in the development of most breast cancers. Isoflavones found in Soy foods can block the effect of oestrogen on breast cancer cells. The recommended daily dose of isoflavones is 40mg a day. Natural HRT capsules contain 60mg of Soy Isoflavones.

Isoflavones and Osteoporosis

Recent studies have shown that dietary isoflavones as found in Natural HRT could be an alternative means of preventing osteoporosis. It is though that the isoflavones may inhibit the breakdown of bone. The particular isofavones used in the study were taken from Soy.

Black Cohosh

Black Cohosh is the most widely used and thoroughly studied natural alternative to hormone replacement therapy (HRT). Its root contains a powerful cocktail of natural chemicals.
Black Cohosh is renowned for its ability to help the body adapt to changing situations and is valued for its hormone and mood-balancing properties.

Increased levels of LH as the brain tries to "kick-start" the ovaries during menopause are thought to be responsible for many of the unpleasant symptoms. Black cohosh is thought to work through the hypothalamus to lower the levels of LH produced by the pituitary gland by as much as 20%. This in turn decreases ovarian output of progesterone to help normalize the oestrogen/progesterone balance.

Black Cohosh also has a direct action on centres of the brain that to control dilation of blood vessels, thereby reducing menopausal hot flushes and sweating.

Black cohosh may help to alleviate many other symptoms of menopause including depression, headaches, anxiety, nervousness, sleep disturbances and decreased libido.

Black cohosh has been prescribed in Germany for over 40 years. Several studies have compared the effectiveness of Black Cohosh to conventional HRT. These comparison studies have shown that Black cohosh can produce better results in relieving hot flushes, vaginal thinning and dryness, depression and anxiety than standard HRT. 80% of women in the trials described its effects as "good" or "very good".

Black Cohosh has been found to be very safe with no side-effects reported (However Black Cohosh is not suitable for women who are pregnant or breast feeding).

Black cohosh also has a normalising effect on female sex hormones so may be used to improve low sex drive.

Red Clover

Isoflavones are the most beneficial of a class of compounds called phytoestrogens, which have a balancing effect on your own oestrogen levels. There are four types of isoflavone and Red Clover is one of the few plants to contain all four - genistein, daidzein, biochanin A and formononentin. All four types of isoflavone are converted by bacteria in the gut into substances that have an oestrogenic action.
Plant oestrogens have the ability to help both when your own oestrogen levels are too high, and when they are too low.

When your levels are too high, the plant oestrogens can compete with your own oestrogen at receptor sites. Because the plant oestrogens are not as strong the effect of the body's own oestrogen is diluted.

When your levels are too low there are empty receptor sites available which the plant oestrogens can fill. Despite having a gentler action that human oestrogen they nevertheless provide a significant boost in overall effect.

A study where post-menopausal women took red clover for two weeks and followed an oestrogen rich diet showed significantly higher oestrogen levels which fell once the supplements were stopped. Other studies have shown reduced menopausal symptoms of hot flushes and mood swings within a month of beginning red clover supplementation. The women also reported a more positive outlook on life and increased energy levels.

In 3 clinical trials 90% of the women taking part noticed such an improvement in menopause symptoms that they chose to continue supplementation after the trials completed.

Saw Palmetto

Saw Palmetto contains fatty acids and sterols that have a tonic effect on the vaginal walls, ovaries and uterine muscles. This helps prevent the vaginal tissues from thinning and becoming painfully dry, ovarian pains and tender uterus that many women experience during menopause.

Vitamin B Complex

The B vitamins are essential in the provision of energy, maintaining a healthy nervous system and producing red blood cells. They have also been called the "stress vitamin" as your body needs more of them when under stress.
Vitamin B1 (Thiamine) helps maintain the nervous system as well as the function of the heart and other muscles.

Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) helps in repairng skin, hair and nails. It can help boost energy levels and maintain good vision.

Vitamin B3 (Niacin) helps in the creation of sex hormones which can be thrown out of balance by the changes experienced during the menopause.

Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) is essential for the production of red blood cells and plays an important role in maintaining the body's immune system. Studies have shown that vitamin B6 relieves a wide variety of hormone related symptoms such as irritability and breast tenderness.

Vitamin B12 is essential for the function of all cells in your body. It is helps with the absorption of nutrients from food in the digestive system.

Vitamin E

Many recent clinical studies have highlighted the importance of Vitamin E during the menopause. Vitamin E can help reduce night sweats and hot flushes and also help relieve vaginal dryness.

Calcium Citrate

Studies have shown that one of the long term symptoms of the menopause can be the reduction of bone density and the associated onset of osteoporosis. A dialy dose of this vital mineral helps maintain healthy teeth and bones. However as we age our ability to extract calcium from calcium carbonate declines. We use Calcium Citrate as this is more easily absorbed.

Phosphorus

There is hardly a biological or cellular process that does not directly or indirectly involve phosphorus. Phosphorus's most constant companion element is Calcium and both are essential in the maintenance of healthy bones.
Phosphorus also aids the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins thus helping maintain a healthy digestove system. It is important in the production of energy, can encourage a regular heartbeat and help maintain the pH balance of the blood.

Dandelion

Strengthens liver function and aids digestion by stimulating the release of bile from the liver and gallbladder.

What is Noni?

Noni is an evergreen shrub or bush that can grow to a height of between fifteen to twenty feet.

The fruit looks like a green grenade which is covered with reddish brown seed pits that give it a lumpy texture. The fruit starts green, turns yellow, ripens to whiteness & falls from the tree.
